The Life of A Stumbling Christian
There are many of us that are Christians and struggle with sin. Although in our hearts we want to do right we continuously do wrong. We must understand that our lives are a testimony of our existence. For many of us to the outside world our lives oftentimes do not reflect the fact that we have been saved. But the spiritual reality is our lives reflect the immense power that is in the blood of Jesus Christ. We serve a GOD that chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. A GOD that chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27 – NIV). A GOD who can do a lot with just a little bit. A GOD who can take 26 letters that we call the alphabet and work those things and rearrange those things in a manner to which he can communicate all of the thoughts of the world. The substance of his being is immeasurable. His thoughts, his ways, his love, his grace, his mercy is incomprehensible. He is truly worthy of our praise.
The life of a stumbling Christian reflects the fact that it is true that we live by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7 – NIV). It is true that we are his sheep and he is the Good Shepherd (John 10:11 – NIV). Though we may go astray it is the shepherd’s responsibility to make sure that the sheep make it to it’s final destination. Though it looks like we have fallen the WORD of GOD in Micah 7:8 says to our enemies don’t gloat over our current situation this is just a moment in time. We are his children. Though we sit in darkness he is our light. Though we have fallen – we will rise.
